‘A client told me they were tired of our ‘double entry’ system,’ says Shari Clark, CEO of BinManager. ‘And it got me thinking – what if we embedded payments into our platform? It could save our clients a lot of time and effort. And it might also generate extra revenue for BinManager.’

Shari and her team had no prior experience managing an integrated payment function. So they set out to find a provider who could teach them the basics and deliver a solution that could seamlessly integrate into the BinManager platform.

‘Many of our clients have recurring orders,’ explains Shari. ‘So we also leveraged Pin Payments’ Customers API to allow them to store customer card details for future jobs. This feature saves them time and minimises errors from manually re-entered card details.’

And what about that extra revenue? Did embedding payments into the BinManager platform have the financial benefits Shari was seeking?

Absolutely.

BinManager now earns a platform fee on each transaction that its clients perform on its platform. It also chose to become a Pin Payments referral partner, meaning that it earns a commission every time one of its clients opts into the new embedded payment feature.

What’s more, BinManager can leverage the Merchants API to automatically onboard and manage those businesses.

‘The Merchants API allows us to see how many clients are onboarded and their status. This allows us to follow up and ensure they can process card payments as quickly as possible,’ explains Shari.
